That pretty much sums up the last two weeks. I know it has been forever since I posted. Between work, home and a quick trip to Kansas time has flown by. I'll try to catch you up with the Cliff Notes version.
Two weekends ago (July 16th) we had our last baseball game. Coaching was a blast, but I'm really glad its over for a few weeks. The tournament didn't go very well, which is to say we lost all four games, but hopefully the fall season will go better. Zach's Grandma and Grandpa came to watch his game, then he went home with them after the game. This was a nice break for us and we took advantage of it by going to see Wanted and then had a date night. It turned out to be a really nice night out. We went dancing at a local club and a bunch of our friends wound up coming too, which was a nice suprise.
Last weekend Zach and I drove to Kansas for my high school reunion and to see my Mom. The reunion was.... I don't know really how to explain it. There were a few people there that I enjoyed catching up with, but I kinda of felt like a third wheel. I'm not the best person as far as initiating conversation and going up to people, so I felt a little uncomfortable and out of place. I realize that I spent a lot of time hiding behind a camera in high school and while it got me through that time, it didn't help me talk to anyone over the weekend.
Crap... I have to run to the end of season baseball pool party. I'll finish this thought later.
