I decided that Zach and I needed to get out and enjoy the weather today. It has been beautiful this week. So after work we packed up our kites, some bread for the ducks and geese and headed out to the park. It turns out that it wasn't windy enough for the kites, so we feed the animals and then played on the playground a little. After that I decided to try the kites one more time and Zach was playing on the playground some more. As I walked back over Zach had decided to climb one of the trees in the park.
About three hours later.....
The official diagnosis is a fractured wrist. A week or so in the splint and follow up with the doctor on Monday. He also has some road rash on his leg, a jammed big toe and a scratch right above one of his eyes. So much for enjoying the nice weather! :-)

The best part is the look on his face. Sorry, Zach!! Wendy goes to SA and doesn't even call. Hmph. I wasn't actually in town that much but came back as Austin was getting its first ever Tropical Storm Watch. HA! Feel better, Zach. (Milk it for all it's worth like not doing chores, whining even when it doesn't hurt, asking for ice cream for dinner, etc.....trust me on this.)
Oh trust me, he is taking advantage! Actually it is worse that we initially thought. He broke one of the bones in his arm right below his wrist. We go back to the doctor tomorrow for a cast. Wendy was going to call but she was swamped with work and not feeling very well.
