Summer is here!

I can tell by the craziness of last weekend that summer is officially here. Zach has been out of school for a couple weeks now and sometimes I think he is already already bored. Luckily his dad arrived on Monday and they started their world tour yesterday. They spent today at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City. I think their next stop is back in Wichita to see Sharon and Ronnie.

Last weekend we drove to Wichita to hang out with my sisters. Saturday started with the Victory in the Valley cancer fundraiser walk. My sisters and two of my nieces all came out for the walk. The highlight for Zach was breakfast. They flipped pancakes at you and you had to try to catch them on your plate. It was a great morning and it was nice walk with my family.

After the walk we went back to Jeanie's house to shower and get ready for Amanda's baby shower. Aaron and Amanda are getting very excited for little Bailey to get here. She is due on July 10th, so it won't be very much longer. While we had the baby shower Grandma Sharon picked Zach up and took him to a movie. He thought that sounded like more fun than a baby shower! After a short nap Saturday evening was spent grilling burgers and hot dogs with all the family. Here are some pictures from the weekend events.

I am still fighting some pain in my left knee. I started physical therapy last week and what can I say but it sucks. lol I have Illiotibial Band Syndrom (ITBS). WebMD has a great article if you are interested! I have been banned from running for at least two more weeks and I am doing physical therapy two times a week. I am doing stretches and some strengthening exercises to try and help. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to run the 1/2 marathon in August, but I'm hopeful to run the 1/2 in October. Who knows, maybe I will have a miraculous recovery and still make the race in August. Anyhow, I think thats all I have for today. Happy Wednesday everyone!
